Madame Voodoo’s Disappearing Ink Laser Tattoo Removal
224 E. Booneslick Rd. Warrenton Mo.
(636) 377 - 8027

Madame Voodoo was founded in 2009 with the goal of delivering amazing, affordable artwork in a friendly environment. Since then, we’ve continued to meet that goal and have built many great client relationships along the way. However, one thing that we noticed throughout the years was the number of clients who expressed tattoo regret on one or more of their existing tattoos. So we did a little research: Out of the 45 million Americans that own a tattoo, up to 26% end up regretting their ink at some point in their life.

Aside from delivering great tattoos and body art, what Madame Voodoo’s Disappearing Ink wants most for our clients is for them to feel happy in their skin! That’s why we’ve invested in the state-of-the-art Astanza Duality laser to help you remove the tattoos you no longer want. There are many reasons for getting laser tattoo removal: maybe you ended a relationship with a partner that is tattooed on your arm, maybe your ink is giving you trouble securing a job, or maybe your original artwork didn’t turn out the way you wanted it to. Whatever your reason is, we’re here to help - NOT judge.

Madame Voodoo provides all laser tattoo removal services, including complete removal of a tattoo, selective removal of a specific part of your tattoo (like a name from a heart), and fading for cover-up tattoos. All of our laser technicians are certified and received training from New Look Laser College, the world’s leading laser tattoo removal training program. They have received the designations of Certified Laser Specialist and Laser Safety Officer and are trained to operate advanced Q-switched Nd:YAG lasers.

Our Warrenton clinic provides free consultations to help you feel confident with the procedure before proceeding with treatment. We love tattoos and all forms of body art – we just want to remove the tattoos that you no longer want or identify with! Give us a call today to schedule your appointment!

How Laser Tattoo Removal Works

Unlike other methods of tattoo removal, our laser safely penetrates deep into the skin’s dermis and eliminates trapped ink at its core. During a treatment, our Astanza Duality laser ejects multiple pulses of light energy into the skin. The wavelengths of light are absorbed by the trapped tattoo ink particles, causing them to shatter and break into tiny fragmented pieces.

Tattoos are permanent because of the large size and deep placement of ink particles. A tattoo can only leave the body once it’s broken down into smaller pieces. When the laser breaks up the ink particles, they become small enough for your immune system to flush out naturally through the lymphatic system.

Over a series of treatments, our laser will continue to break down the ink particles into smaller fragments until there is no ink left in the skin. Multiple treatments are needed to achieve complete removal. Patients interested in fading their tattoo in preparation for a cover-up tattoo may only need 2 to 3 treatments.

Laser tattoo removal is the safest, most effective, noninvasive method for getting rid of unwanted ink. Call our office today to schedule your free consultation! (636)377-8027.

About Our Laser

Madame Voodoo has invested in the Astanza Duality to perform all laser tattoo removal treatments. Our laser is trusted and used by the leading tattoo removal practitioners worldwide. Madame Voodoo is very proud to be the only tattoo shop in Warrenton with this technology.

The Astanza Duality laser is a highly advanced Q-switched Nd:YAG laser that boasts high peak power through ultra-quick pulse durations and high pulse energies. The Duality uses two versatile wavelengths, 1064nm and 532nm, to target and eliminate a wide variety of the most popular ink colors. These wavelengths are safe to use on all skin types and penetrate safely through the skin to the ink without harming any surrounding skin tissue.

The key to successful tattoo clearance is having the right technology to shatter the ink particles in the skin. Our Astanza Duality is designed to eliminate more ink in each session, speeding up the tattoo fading process in fewer treatments.

The Astanza Duality at Madame Voodoo sets a higher standard for laser tattoo removal treatments. Patients should expect to see fading after just one treatment! If you’re interested in removing an unwanted tattoo, or want to lighten your tattoo for a cover- up, call our office today and schedule your free consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many treatments will I need?

The number of treatments needed to achieve complete tattoo removal varies by person and tattoo. Because each person heals differently, and because each tattoo is unique, there is no definitive number of treatments needed. Most patients need between 5 and 10 treatments before seeing complete removal. Patients with older, faded tattoos may only need 3 to 4 treatments. Madame Voodoo uses a variety of factors to assess your tattoo and best estimate the number of treatments your tattoo will need to achieve the look that you want. These factors include:

     *Age of your tattoo

*Location of your tattoo

*Ink density

*Depth of ink

*Professional or amateur application Tattoo ink colors

*Pre-existing scarring

*Patient health

How long until my tattoo is completely removed?

Treatments are spaced a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks apart to give your skin enough time to heal before it’s next treatment session. This healing time is for your safety and will help generate the best results for your skin. That being said, some patients heal quicker than others. The time it takes to completely remove your tattoo is unique and depends on the number of treatments your tattoo needs and how fast your skin heals.

Does the laser hurt?

Every patient has a different pain threshold. Some patients think getting a tattoo is painless, whereas others find it difficult to sit through. The same can be said about laser tattoo removal - each person will have a unique experience. Many patients have compared the laser to a rubber band being snapped against the skin. Overall, the procedure is very tolerable, and unlike tattoo application, laser tattoo removal is very quick and lasts anywhere from 30 seconds to 30 minutes depending on the size of the tattoo being treated. Madame Voodoo also offers skin numbing solutions to minimize any pain during a laser session.

Are there any side effects?

Laser tattoo removal is an extremely safe procedure. As long as you follow proper aftercare instructions outside of our clinic, your skin should heal flawlessly. The only side effects you may experience are temporary redness, swelling, scabbing, blistering, and pigment changes. All of these side effects heal over the weeks following a treatment. Do not be alarmed at the site of any blisters or scabs. These are very common side effects that let you know your skin is working to remove the ink from your skin. DO NOT prematurely pick or pop any blisters or scab that form. Doing so can lead to infection and serious unwanted side effects. Allow the skin to heal naturally on its own.

Can you fade my tattoo for a cover-up?

Yes! We can even connect you with one of our talented tattoo artists after a fading session. Laser tattoo removal is a great solution for anyone looking to cover-up a tattoo. Since existing tattoos are so pigmented, lightening a tattoo creates a cleaner canvas to work on. This in turn gives a cover-up tattoo artist more flexibility with their new design and a better piece of artwork for you! Patients interested in fading an existing tattoo in preparation for a cover-up typically need only 1 to 3 treatments depending on how dark the original tattoo is.
